o What is the future for RCT on on Windows and MacOS X?

If you are concerned about the long term, we recommend moving to our new iRCT, or CyberTuner for Apple iOS. iRCT runs on iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. If you need a larger screen, and iPad has a 10" screen and is a great choice. If you don't need a phone and/or are on a budget, an iPod touch costs $149 to $199 with no contract. iOS devices' batteries last all day to several days tuning, far longer than any laptop.

We don't expect any further development or new features for RCT for Windows and Macintosh. We do not guarantee any RCT version will run on hardware or operating system produced after that version was released. All current and future development is concentrated on the Apple iOS platform.

o What upgardes are offered for RCT for Mac and Windows?

We no longer offer any uprades or downloads for RCT for MacOS X or Windows platforms. All developement is concentrated on the Apple iOS platform.

o How much does tech support cost for RCT for Windows and MacOS X?

Even though we no longer sell RCT software for the MacOS X or Windows platforms, we still provide tech support for RCT 5.3 and later for registered users. Free support is available on the Laptop RCT support page. At least 95% of support questions are answered on that page, or in the manuals downloaded from that page.

If your issue requires personal tech support, especially if it involves installing or activating RCT software, or hardware related issues, there is a charge of $79.99 to $149.99 for 10 days of support. See items WM1 & WM2 below.

We still offer tech support, but we no longer offer downloads or sell any upgrades for RCT for Mac or Windows, nor do we anticipate any further upgrades for these legacy platforms. The best course for RCT users who want to move to newer hardware is to purchase a copy of RCT for Apple iOS which runs on iPad, iPod touch or iPhone.

If you need to purchase support for RCT software installation, these items are required for successful installation:

1. A functioning and compatible computer which has a built-in port for the SentinelKey, and slot for the installer media (CD, SD or floppy disk). See FAQ #6 on the Laptop RCT support page

2. RCT 5.x or later requires a 10 digit activation code. This code was emailed, is on your paper receipt, and may be on the hang tag on your SentinelKey.

3. A copy of the RCT installer either on CD, SD card or other media, or a backup from a download. We can not supply downloads or installer media.

4. Your SentinelKey (LPT or USB). Note if you have an LPT SentinelKey, your computer must have a built-in LPT port. See FAQ #5 on the Laptop RCT support page
